Justin Gatlin Coach Dennis Mitchell on Dealing with Haters and Beating Bolt
Justin Gatlin, Strength Training for Explosive Sports
Just ahead of the World Championships in Beijing, here’s a rebroadcast of the two-part interview with Dennis Mitchell, Justin Gatlin’s coach, first aired on February 15 last year.
Both Gatlin and Mitchell have attracted much criticism and both have been sanctioned for violating doping regulations. Mitchell addresses these issues and lessons learned from spending years as a pariah in this wide-ranging, in-depth conversation.
Mitchell hit gold in 4 X 100m in the Barcelona Olympics. In addition to Gatlin, he is training a dozen other world-class athletes from about 10 different countries, at his club Star Athletics, based in Montverde, Florida, near Orlando.
